Be careful when buying house that needs a lot of updates unless you have done the research and know the repair costs. Sometimes the repairs needed make the house a bad deal. Also take into consideration how close the house is to construction, railroads, etc. These might be why the house is selling at such a low price. Another factor is the drive time. The house may be great deal but if you are unhappy driving to and from it every day, you may find yourself unhappy with your purchase.
