Chattanooga has a never ending list of outdoor activities. Our city’s inclination towards nature is one of our strongest characteristics.
- Go for a scenic hike to Edwards Point and Rainbow Lake on Signal Mountain.
- Hike to Sunset Rock on Lookout Mountain for the incredible view of the Chattanooga Valley below
- Boat, sail, or swim on the Chickamauga Lake
- Go white water rafting down the Ocoee River or floating down the Hiwassee River.
In the Summer, Chattanooga offers a free outdoor concert every Friday night down at Miller Plaza, and for a short period of time there are also Saturday night concerts on the river. Of course, every year our river front hosts Riverbend, Chattanooga’s 9 day music festival. This is a very popular and eventful attraction worth experiencing.
One of the top outdoor activities is the Chattanooga Outdoor Market. It takes place Sunday afternoons at the First Tennessee Pavilion. Each weekend tons of local shops and vendors gather together. The atmosphere is very family friendly, and you can find something for the whole family. There is food, jewelry, flowers, paintings, and more!
All of these activities and more can be found on Roots Rated. Click the link to see more fun and memorable things to do in Chattanooga this year!
