As a buyer’s agent, I strongly recommend always getting a home inspection. No matter how new or perfect the house may seem, you never know what little things could be lurking below the surface that might cause BIG problems down the road. At the same time, I always try to remind my buyers not to be overwhelmed when they first lay eyes on the home inspection report. The home inspector’s job is not to make you a list of the things that are right with the home, but the things that are wrong or need attention.
