QUICK DECORATING FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Posted OnDec 03, 2017

Only 22 days until Christmas! Some people put up holiday decor early, while others do it in December. We hope Christmas decorations are not a stressful thing to accomplish. We made a little list of some fun easy things to do to bring some holiday spirit to your home.

  1. Put a Christmas tree in the house – Seems a rather obvious task but this can be a daunting task that people avoid. Just remember, it does not have to be a large elaborate tree. It can be small, made of paper, silver, gold, etc. Make it you. If you do not want to put one big one up, maybe try putting lots of tiny ones through out the house.
  2. Wreaths – At the front door it is a warm and welcoming sight for guests but they can be utilized inside as well. Hang them on doors, stairwells, mantles, etc. Simple ones always look good but do not forget you can add some flavor to them with ribbons, ornaments, and winter berries. Pinterest is flooded with DIY wreaths that might interest you. Maybe you could even make it a family tradition where everyone creates their own wreath to hang.
  3. Christmas Vignettes – These are awesome for tables, mantels, and shelves and so easy to make! You can find the greenery and pine cones in the yard, cheap white candles at Walmart, ornaments to accent and even the log slices at Hobby Lobby!
  4. Candles, candles, and more candles – There is no such thing as too many. You can find an array of white ones at Walmart to set out and Bath & Body Works, TJ Max, and Target have richly scented ones. Candles add the cozy element, which is a must for the holiday season.
  5. Wrap presents early – Having presents under the tree brings excitement to the house! If you cannot wrap them early then just wrap up some phony presents for decor. Consider keeping a consistency in the color/pattern you use to wrap the presents in.
