We owners love it when our animals greet us when we walk in the door! Unfortunately, for prospective home buyers walking in your listed home, our pet’s smells can be an unwelcome greeting. Truth be told, pet smells can kill the sale of a home quickly! It’s often hard for us to hear that our home doesn’t smell quite as neutral as we think it does, especially when our animals are like family. But the truth is, it needs to be addressed and taken care of in order to sell the home quickly. Some ways to address this problem are to let some ventilation in through open windows, have the carpets cleaned, wash all fabrics, or replace what can’t be cleaned.  Just remember, like all listing recommendations, keep an open mind.
